The fur industry is a big threat to our wildlife and to our environment, contributing to higher energy costs, pollution, land destruction, and reductions in populations of wild animals, including endangered and threatened species who may be accidentally trapped and killed. It’s simply a cruel, inhumane and unnecessary industry that should be banned forever and all over the world. Many of the European countries have banned or are in the process of phasing out some or all fur farming based largely on the understanding that is impossible to raise forbearing animals in captive conditions that adequately ensure their welfare while maintaining financial viability. As a society we have to progress and move forward. We must better ourselves by learning and educating others about the threat humanity faces if we don’t do something about it and change the course of things. Wearing real fur is no longer cool or fashion forward. It’s unethical, inhumane and cruel. It shows no compassion or consideration for the animals, the environment and consequently for humanity.
