Next week will be World Fur Free Friday. Please join me and support this honorable cause against the horrific fur industry just by writing on your palm #WFFF your country or city and the date 11/27/15
Because cruel fashion is never cool or glamorous. The atrocities and the suffering that these poor animals have to go through are deplorable, shameful and inhumane. It is absolutely inexcusable to wear real fur these days when there are so many wonderful options out there! Tomorrow I will be participating to the AFSConference.org followed by a Cruelty Free Fashion Show. I can’t wait! Where? Landmark on the Park in NYC h8:30pm

Could you ever imagine wearing a dog or a cat fur? Millions of domestic dogs and cats are bludgeoned in China, strangled with wire nooses and literally bled to death, just so their fur can be turned into trims and trinkets. There are no regulations that exist to govern fur farms in China, which allows fur farmers to house and slaughter animals however they please. The resulting conditions, treatment and excruciating deaths are horrific and many undercover investigations found horrors beyond belief. Dogs and cats are skinned alive after being pulled from their cramped cages. Workers throw animals to the ground and bludgeon them with metal rods or slam them against any hard surface available. This mangles their bones and sends these defenseless creatures into convulsions, but rarely causes immediate death. Often the dogs and cats are still alive and struggling desperately when workers flip them onto their backs or hang them up by their legs or tails to skin them alive. Workers stomp on their heads or neck to allow a clean cut. When the fur is finally peeled off, the animals bloody bodies are thrown onto a growing pile. Some cats and dogs are still breathing in ragged gasps and blinking slowly, their hearts are still beating five minutes after they are skinned alive. Please don’t support the fur industry and this cruelty, don’t wear real fur, not even trims! Wearing any animal that suffered so much abuse and brutality can not bring you any good feeling but instead is attached to only bad things and bad karma. Compassion is the new fashion. Pay more attention, be more aware, educate yourself and read the labels. As consumers we can change how we impact the world, one person at the time.

I rather go naked than wear fur iconic anti-fur campaign is still going strong! Peta launched this campaign in 1991 to raise awareness about the millions of animals who are trapped, drowned, beaten, skinned alive and electrocuted for their fur all for the sake of “fashion”. Since then, thousands of compassionate people have bared their bodies to help animals in need and raising consciousness on animal rights. Let the animals keep their fur and help to put an end to this unimaginable cruelty by choosing never to buy or wear fur or even fur trims. Every fur coat, vest, hat, or fur trim accessory causes animals an immeasurable amount of suffering. You must remember that animals don’t have a voice. You have to be their voices. Never be afraid to speak up! @PelushNYC plunge yourself in a super soft faux chinchilla blanket instead

Don’t support cruel fashion, don’t buy real fur, not even trims! Raise public awareness by educating and exposing the horrific evidences that the fur industry wants to keep hidden. #JointheRefauxlution @PelushNYC Luxury Faux Furs- The conditions under which animals are kept and treated are the same throughout the world. Long rows of barren small wire cramped cages are preventing the animals from taking more than a few steps back and forth, and may even cannibalize each other as a reaction to their crowded confinement. Not to talk about the clear distress, fear, immense pain and suffering that is inflicted on these poor little animals. Fur farms dispose of their dead animals as economically as possible. The meat from most fur-bearers is not usually eaten by human, therefore the carcasses will go on to become various products such as pet food, animal feed, compost, fertilizer, paint and even tires. Carcasses sometimes go to animal sanctuaries, zoos, and aquariums to feed the animals. Wearing a real fur today is a selfish statement, a sign of indifference towards humanity, animal cruelty, the environment, extinction, the earth, the ecosystem, nature, love towards all living things and lack of compassion. If you think yourself as an animal lover you would never support this cruel and unnecessary industry.

The fur industry is a big threat to our wildlife and to our environment, contributing to higher energy costs, pollution, land destruction, and reductions in populations of wild animals, including endangered and threatened species who may be accidentally trapped and killed. It’s simply a cruel, inhumane and unnecessary industry that should be banned forever and all over the world. Many of the European countries have banned or are in the process of phasing out some or all fur farming based largely on the understanding that is impossible to raise forbearing animals in captive conditions that adequately ensure their welfare while maintaining financial viability. As a society we have to progress and move forward. We must better ourselves by learning and educating others about the threat humanity faces if we don’t do something about it and change the course of things. Wearing real fur is no longer cool or fashion forward. It’s unethical, inhumane and cruel. It shows no compassion or consideration for the animals, the environment and consequently for humanity. Don’t support cruel fashion, choose not to wear real fur, not even trims!#JointheRefauxlution

Join the Refauxlution! Fur is not a by-product of the meat industry and it’s not environmentally sustainable. The energy required to produce a fur coat made from an animal on a fur farm as opposed to a faux or fake fur coat, requires 20 times the amount of energy to produce and manufacture. All animal fur is chemically treated to keep the skin intact and it’s not biodegradable. The process of chemically treating fur produces highly toxic chemical pollution that goes into the air and waterways contaminating water systems and the environment. One million pounds of feces are produced annually by US mink farms alone. One dangerous component of this waste is nearly 1,000 tons of phosphorous, which pollutes all nearby rivers and streams. Don’t forget that animals are killed only for their pelts and all wasted in the name of fashion and for an industry that makes billions of dollars off cruelty. Don’t support cruel fashion that causes horrific suffering to animals in order to make a personal fashion statement. Wearing real fur is no longer hip, cool or fashion forward. Today it’s #FurfreeFriday and I’m featuring the beautiful little mink. It takes 60 of these sweet little guys to make only one coat.

I was incredibly touched by the SUPERB and inspiring speech that Pope Francis gave yesterday at the United Nations. Imperative actions must be taken now before it’s too late by all of us. “The ecological crisis and the large scale destruction of biodiversity, can threaten the very existence of the human species”. The true “right of the environment” does exist, for two reasons. First because we human beings are part of the environment. We live in communion with it, since the environment itself entails ethical limits which human activity must acknowledge and respect. Man, for all his remarkable gifts, which are signs of a uniqueness which transcends the spheres of physics and biology, is at the same time a part of these spheres. He possesses a body shaped by physical, chemical and biological elements, and can only survive and develop if the ecological environment is favorable. Any harm done to the environment, therefore, is harm done to humanity. Second, because every creature, particularly a living creature, has an intrinsic value, in it’s existence, its life, its beauty and its interdependence with other creatures”.

Are you ready to find out what really happens in the name of fashion? @PelushNYC Join the #Refauxlution on this #Furfreefriday! #Followme and know the ugly truth about the fur industry. More than ONE BILLION animals are killed for their fur every year. Many different species of wild and domestic animals are used for their furs, including minks, chinchillas, foxes, dogs, rabbits, cats, wolfs, raccoons, seals, bobcats, links and beavers. 85% of all furs comes from intense fur animals farms. These poor animals are crammed into severely crowded tiny filthy wire cages, stocked one on top of each other, and left to stand on metal bars for their entire lives, only to be beat, skinned alive and electrocuted alive at the end. The appalling conditions these poor animals have to endure is inhumane, cruel and it should be simply against the law! All animals are showing clear signs of physical and mental suffering. Animals on fur farms are forced to endure the most profound indifference to their suffering, dignity and basic needs like inadequate provision of food, water and veterinary care, all in the name of high profits and greed. Please don’t support cruel fashion that causes horrific suffering to animals in order to make a personal fashion statement. Only animals should wear their fur….Today, with so many different options for warmth and fashionable fabric, the fur industry has become an unnecessary and archaic industry. Please don’t buy real fur, not even trims! Today I featured the little sweet chinchilla. It takes 130 to 200 chinchillas to make a coat ?

Protect and respect all animals @PelushNYC #Refauxlution The ugly truth and the cruelty of the fur industry causes unimaginable suffering and pain to animals. When you look at a fur coat in a glossy magazine or in a store window, you should realize that animals were beaten, electrocuted anally and genitally repeatedly or skinned alive for their skin. This agonizing slaughter method is used so the fur doesn’t get damaged. After an animal has been destroyed, the skin is than treated with toxic chemicals to keep it from rotting and decomposing in the buyer’s closet. Whether is a trinket or a little trim, don’t support this inhumane cruelty. You will never look good wearing a real fur and you will be judged as soon as you step out of your house. Fur is murder and it’s unnecessary. Let these beautiful creatures live freely as they were meant to be. The fur belongs to them not to us.

Today is Fur Free Friday. The sad and horrific truth about rabbits used in the fur industry and animal testing. The cruel methods to obtain the angora fur is simply deplorable and atrocious. Most of all the fur in the world now comes from China. The workers tie the terrified rabbits up and stretched them out. They strip the fur out with their bear hands while the bunnies are still alive, leaving the rabbits bleeding in their tiny cages to recover in complete solitude. The poor creatures are kept for years and have their fur ripped out all over again every 2 months!!! Once a bunny has outlived its purpose, it is killed. The pain, the suffering and the terror in the animal’s eyes is real and they are conscious of what is going to happen to them over and over again. In China there are no penalties for animal abuse and no standards that regulate the treatment of animals. Please don’t wear real fur, not even trims!! Read the labels and make the only ethical choice.
